What kind of company doesnt have a Tech Support? Let alone, what kind of company responds via text, not an actual phone call? And the only thing that the dealer is willing to do is send a service tech to look at your issue for a fee of $259.00 plus tax. And an hourly fee? Utterly ridiculous.

User's recommendation: I would never recommend a Heat & Glo to anyone.

Let the company propose a solution

I wanted to speak with their customer service department, but apparently they don't offer that outside of the USA..

I could not contact their customer service, it needed a zip code, in Canada, we have postal codes, which are different. I would still like to speak with their customer service, but so far, I can't Find a way to do that. .

Heater shuts off, doesn't heat house.

Heat and Glo - Heater shuts off, doesn't heat house.
Have a 2nd home, need a set and forget system. Timer shuts off unit after 9 hours if house not up to temp. Then house can freeze, pipes freeze, water damage..... Called customer service to speak to Heat n Glo, they did nothing, offered nothing but to put me in touch with a 2nd dealer. Told me they would not contact their supplier. Told me there was nothing they would do for me to help. Told me they would not let me speak to the supervisor.

User's recommendation: DO NOT BUY HEAT N GLO.

Had an appointment, no phone call, and didn't show up

I had an appointment today, January 4, 2022, Tuesday between 12-2 to check my fireplace out, plus show me how to operate the fireplace!

Had an appointment, no phone call and didn't show up

I had an open appointment between 12-2 today, January 4, 2022! No phone call and the tech never showed up!

Flame size

I really dont see a discernible flame size between the smallest setting to the largest setting on my Heat and Glow, using my remote. Also, how long should it take for the flame adjustment to be noticeable?

Constant problems. 3 years old

Constant problems with pilot light not staying lit. Numerous service calls. Never had problems with past name brand fireplaces

Company not taking Responsibility for enduser safety

Heat n Glo absolving itself from its dealers installing improperly and not putting in proper heat management puts the public at risk. When calling to ask about proper heat management as an enduser, I get referred back to the dealer. I had to independently research what was not done. I have owned two Heath Glow products in the past and didnt realize how bad this company is at supporting its end users safety. They just stick their head in the sand.

No service support

I have a heatnglo 6000trxi fire place. parts have corroded need replacement but there is no way to contact them directly but referred to authorized dealer who charges a service call but would not touch it since they didnt install it. They would try to order parts but i have to install myself! Unbelievable

RESEARCH PRODUCT BEFORE BUYING

Bought a cosmo42-IFT. Unit looks nice . The problem is a safety issue on shutting off the gas valve. In case of an emergency to shut of gas valve in unit, there is no space to put your hand in to shut off the valve. Called tech support and asked them and they told me to have screw driver to take off plates to access. Looking for a screw driver is an emergency is not a good option. Bad design. They should design it with easy access to shut off gas valve.

I own heat and glow fireplace model# 550trs serial #002240****

My wife came home the other day ,the flame was on ,we never turned the unit on.The remote was not near the unit,batteries were fresh. Very scary situation,the house was super hot. Tried to call for info,with no results...I had to call repair shop they want $375.00 just to come to look. No customer support sorry i purchased this unit.
